Wilkins Farming often has seasonal vacancies for tractor, truck & machine operators as well as various farm labouring positions. We normally employ people for summer holiday jobs and occasionally have permanent vacancies including livestock roles.

We have a fleet of modern tractors, harvest equipment, haulage trucks and a full range of equipment for cultivation, fertilising, planting, spraying & baling.

Experienced staff who enjoy operating the latest agricultural equipment in the varied conditions throughout the upper Southland region are a major component in the success of WFL.

MACHINERY OPERATOR / LABOURER

Due to growth in our business, Wilkins Farming Co are looking for a permanent full time competent and energetic operator with passion for machinery operation and working with people to join our EarthWorx Division.

We want someone with strong experience (3+ years) operating and maintaining heavy machinery in a civil construction, earthworks, or farming environment.

The family business is well established in mixed livestock and cropping farming business in Northern Southland with multiple trading entities covering agricultural contracting, livestock, cropping and transport.

The job is based out of Wendonside but is spread all over Northern Southland from day to day.

You will be:

  • Physically fit
  • Reliable, pro-active and have health and safety at front of mind
  • Honest and reliable
  • You are a “DOER” and you will get stuff done, and the ability to work under pressure
  • A positive attitude with the ability and desire to be a team player

A full license is essential.   It’s a bonus if you have Class 2 or above.
